Puri Jagannadh always displayed great respect towards Police in all his hit flicks. Even in the end credits of his latest offing Temper, a cop entertainer, he has given tribute to all great policemen. But to his embarrassment his wife has faced bitter experience with Police.
Allegedly a Sub Inspector of Police of Palavoncha town of Khammam District, Shanmukhachari has harassed the director’s wife Lavanya and an young actress Ulka Gupta. As we know, Puri’s son is debuting as hero in an upcoming film titled Andhrapori.
Lavanya visited the shooting of this film that is going on at Palavoncha. The unit members complain that the SI has been troubling them since the beginning of shoot there.
As per a member,”The SI has been creating nuisance by entering rooms of unit members and using foul language. Things turned ugly when one night he gate crashed into the room where Lavanya was staying in the name of a ‘police raid’. He misbehaved and used vulgar language.” The SI is believed to have said, “This is a police raid. Don’t you know why we raid lodges?” Puri Jagannadh is said to have complained the matter to DGP Anurag Sharma.
