BoxOffice Stamina : Charan's 'My Name is Raju' Making Huge Business in USA(Overseas)

Charan's 'My Name is Raju' Making Huge Business in USA(Overseas)

Overseas market has become very important for the Tollywood producers. If a star hero's film gets a hit talk, then that movie would collect 3-6 crores in just a week in USA.

Mahesh Babu, Pawan Kalyan, Prabhas, Allu Arjun and NTR’s movie have done exceptionally good at the overseas box-office. Taking this trend into consideration, Tollywood producers have increased the prices for the Overseas distribution rights.

As informed earlier, Ram Charan’s new film with Srinu Vaitla will begin from the first week of March and this movie will be released in the month of October 2015.

According to our sources, makers of this film have quoted 6 crores to the overseas distributors. Normally, rates of the Star Heroes film will be more than 3 crores. Though Ram Charan has got an impressive record in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana, his films didn’t do well in USA and other countries.

Charan limited himself only to mass films and Krishna Vamsi’s ‘Govindudu Andarivadele’ also ended up being another routine film in the Mega Power Star’s career.

However, Srinu Vaitla is directing this film and this director’s ‘Dookudu’ and ‘Baadshah’ had an good run at the overseas box-office. So, the makers of Charan’s film have decided to quote 6 crores to the overseas distributors.

As of now, none of the USA distributors are willing to take the film for such a huge amount as none of the Charan Movies does beyond Rs 2crs in overseas territory exception is Magadheera. Though it is a Sreenu Vytla combo movie, with Aagadu Sreenu Vytla also lost little bit of his charm, so right price for this movie could be Baadsha price which is Rs 4cr so that distributors and exhibitors will get some profit if movie is hit  and risk will be minimal. Hope all the producers think in this direction so that buyers also sustain in the market for long term.

Some of the exhibitors said that the makers should understand the market of Charan and quote the price accordingly.
