Superstar Mahesh Babu has already promised a treat for his fans in Summer with Koratala Siva’s movie. For that he is already wrapping things at a jet speed. What is happening exactly with this movie now?


Fight master Anal Arasu is now filming a fight on Mahesh along with dozens of fighters. The shooting is going on in Pollachi right now, and it will go on till Saturday. After wrapping this fight, unit will be canning important scenes on Mahesh and other cast at village of Palani. On March 3rd, they will return to Hyderabad for a non-stop schedule in the city. Mahesh and Koratala are aiming for May release. Tentative title of the movie is “Srimanthudu”.

Legendary actor, universal hero Kamal Haasan entertained Telugu family audiences like no other, yesterday on the TV show Meelo Evaru Koteeswarudu. Hosted by King Nagarjuna, this show invited Kamal into hot seat to share his thoughts.


Crediting his life to director and guru K Balachander’s mighty help and support, Kamal talked about various things. Mostly, he declared that there is a chance of doing a straight Telugu film after the release of Uttama Villain and Viswaroopam 2.

Kamal’s last stint with direct Telugu flicks dates back to Subasankalpam in 1995 and Eenadu in 2009, while the latter one is bilingual.

Already Ramoji Rao’s Eenadu group is running TV Channels like ETV-AP, ETV-Telangana and ETV-Telugu to entertain Telugu people all over the world. Now that two channels are dedicated to full time news and one channel with serials and all, Ramoji Rao is said to be launching another new channel.

According to media reports - ETV Plus is the name of new channel that will be launched by Ramoji Rao shortly. This channel will not feature any serials and otters soap operas. ETV Plus will be exclusively of movie content, reality shows and movies two times daily.

Also in the lines of Maa TV, Gemini and Zee Telugu, ETV Plus will be bidding for satellite rights of big stars films and super hits. More details about the launch and test-signal relay will be revealed soon.

Story

This film has a usual premise and it centers on its three protagonists throughout the film. Ram (Havish Koneru) is a drifter who is trying to win over every girl who comes across his life in Malaysia. “Ramleela” is also about software professional Krishna (Abhijeet) who falls in love in the first instance with Salsa trainer Sasya (Nanditha Raj). He returns to India and with the help of his parents successfully convinces Sasya’s family.

In a short time, Sasya gets married to Krishna and they leave to Malaysia for their honeymoon. That’s where things fall apart and Krishna takes a single road journey to planned honeymoon spots with Ram. To know how these two characters came across? What happened to Sasya? Will Sasya & Krishna finally come together you have to see the film, least we reveal spoilers.

Artists Performance

 

Of the actors, Koneru Havish looks so disinterested as an actor that our local Loksabha MP’s seem more interested in equivalence when they are in the parliament sessions. Life is Beautiful fame Abhijeet plays a cardboard role in the film and after closely looking at him all through the film; one could conclude his acting skills are highly questionable as it clearly misses the needed knack for work.

A lot of focus is on Prema Katha Chithram fame Nanditha Raj who fails to embody a character that you would warm upto to. Bhanu Chander, Anita and Nagineedu provide okay support with their cameos. Ali (who runs at a speed of 140 Kmph around Malaysia) and Sapthagiri (Acts like a multiple personality disorder (A gay-chandramukhi-liver boy) are wasted in their delicate little parts. Madalasa Sharma sizzles in the item number and Aksha looks good in her short role.

Techinical Aspects

 

It’s an age-old story of young hearts who battle against odds to become one. This is the similar theme we have seen in hundreds of films with similar storyline. The story is narration of one incident after another with none really making anysense or showing any remote co-relation between the characters. There is no effort to draw some sympathy towards the characters which is frustrating as both Havish and Abhijeet annoy you to the core.

The dramatic script with some sloppy episodes which are starkly placed on intent and making no attempt to complement each other. Every story, every point, every comedy bit is so flat in this movie that you can’t even feel any emotion towards the characters. Comedians Ali, Sapthagiri are wasted to the core, with senseless characterizations. There is no cool part at any point and even at its 125 minutes runtime, you don’t feel infliction, rejoice, rue, romance or anything besides some cringe worthy moments.

Direction by Sripuram Kiran is abrupt and unclear. I doubt the director had in his mind the correct picture what he intended to say through this film. His puddled up thoughts were visible on screen die meaningless episodes and lags all through the screenplay.

Coming to other technicalities, Music by Chinna is a letdown and lacks any hummable tracks which could have given movie a big lift, even background score of the film is too loud to bear. Director even failed to channel songs in perfect situations, the movie ducked under the needless tracks and diametrical changes in plotline. The camera work is sharp as the cinematographer S. Gopal Reddy captures Malaysia very well. This film is a sparkling example of some of the worst editing in recent times. Production values Ramadootha Creations are glossy.

Analysis

 

Ramleela is a feature that has eighty percent of its runtime devoted to deadening, aggravating and entirely debilitating exposition, which in analytical terms is a feasible imbalance in content. The title in fact says it all. Right from the opening credits which are played out on screen in two discrete halves, we are left with no incertitude’s as to where this film is going. To sum it up Ramleela is an magnificent example of the kind of film you never want spend your money on.

According to unconfirmed reports doing rounds in media circles, satellite rights of Nandamuri Balakrishna’s latest movie “Lion” are sold for an exorbitant price. If reports are true, Gemini TV has bagged the satellite rights at a price of 5.5 crores.


Selling out satellite rights before the release is not a big game for makers because if the film scores hit then they will get more than that. However, it seems like the makers of wait cant wait till release.

However, Gemini TV hasn’t confirmed anything about “Lion” satellite rights. We have to wait for official confirmation. Directed by newcomer Satyadeva, the film features Trisha and Radhika Apte in the leads

Indian speedster Mohammed Shami has been ruled out of playing the World Cup Match against United Arab Emirates (UAE) due to Knee Strain. Either Bhuvaneshwar Kumar or Stuart Binny will be replacing Shami for the 3rd Match India plays in the tourney.


Shami had a problem with his left knee. As a precautionary measure, He was asked to take rest and given an ultrasound guided injection.

Indian Team Management is yet to clarify if Mohammed Shami will be part of the playing elevan in the game against West Indies in Perth on March 6th.

Shami is the most productive bowler for India so far. He took 4 wickets for 35 against Pakistan and 2 wickets for 30 against South Africa.

Indian skipper Mahendra Singh Dhoni suffered an injury on Friday while playing in the nets at the WACA Ground in Perth. The speeding delivery had an uneven bounce and eventually brushed his forearm.

Dhoni was spotted applying an ice-pack to the forearm after the practice session. This is maor worry as India will be playing against UAE on Saturday (February 28th).

However, Indian Team Manager Dr RN Baba assured Dhoni is fine and he will be playing Tomorrow.

Controversial Cricketer Sreesanth was banned for life from playing Cricket by the BCCI for his involvement in spot fixing in the 2013 IPL season. Srisanth sent to Tihar jail and he was later released on bail.

Now stunning news got revealed about Srisanth during his jail term. Singer Madhu Balakrishnan, who is also the brother-in-law of S. Sreesanth said that the Kerala pacer survived a murder attempt in Tihar jail.

Madhu Balakrishnan who was a famous singer in Kerla told a TV talk show on Friday that another jail inmate, who had been an alleged accused in a murder case, tried to kill the cricketer. Madhu revealed that the goon had attacked Srikanth on the jail with sharp edged weapon.

Madhu also said that Sreesanth had to face physical and mental torture in the jail. The revelation of Madhu is creating sensation and its once again proved the dark side of IPL scams.

Sreesanth, who was playing for Rajasthan Royals, was arrested in Mumbai in 2013 by Delhi Police .Srisanth arrested for his alleged involvement in spot-fixing in IPL matches for payments of up to Rs 60 lakh. Following this, the BCCI had imposed a life ban on him in September. He was booked under section 420 (cheating) and 120-B of the IPC.

Popular Telugu satirical writer Muppalla Ranganayakamma has written a book titled “Idandi Mahabharatam”, which happens to be a critical literary work on Hindu epic “Mahabharatham”. After reading that book, director Ram Gopal Varma praised the writer a lot with his style of comments and desired to make that book into a flick.


“Muppaalla Ranganayaakamma gaari's book "idhandiii Mahabharatam" is simply superb. She's a sheer genius. I read it back to back twice. Her take on the hidden agendas and ulterior objectives behind the sacred book of Mahabharatam is simply out of the world. After reading that book I’m convinced that she is the upper limit of genius and Telugu people should be proud of her”,
said Ramu.

He added,
“I am a voracious reader and read the greatest books ever written in the world and this book is among the greatest. Ranganayakamma's "Idhandiii Mahabharatam" is 100 times better than original Mahabhaaratam. It’s highly entertaining and deeply insightful. I would very much like to do a film based on  this book”.

On a concluding note, he has thrown the satire,
“Vyaasa maharshi must come back and learn writing from Ranganayakamma's "idhandiii Mahabharatam”.
He signs off, saying
“Brutally honest n hilariously entertaining”.

Actor Manchu Mohan Babu has met Telangana Chief Minister KCR on Friday at his camp office. Mohan Babu has invited the chief minister  for his younger son Manchu Manoj's engagement ceremony. Manchu Manoj also presented along with father.

Manoj is getting engaged to his lady love Pranathi Reddy and the engagement is scheduled for March 4.Praneetha Reddy is an engineering student from BITS, Pilani who is close to Manchu family. She is the friend of Veronica, wife of Manchu Vishnu.

Several tollywood celebrities will grace the event and it will be a star studded affair. Manchu family is busy with preparations and Mohan Babu likely to meet AP CM Chandrababu soon to invite him for marriage.

Seldom we see two legends in the same frame and one such thing happened long back. As we dig into some old pictures, this has caught our attention.

During his early days in film industry, hero Shahrukh Khan has some golden moments on the sports turf as he played football with none other than cricketer Kapil Dev. Probably both these top stars of Indian are in their early ages at that time.

Now, Shahrukh is an acting legend and Kapil Dev is a retired cricket legend often heard from the commentary box on leading sports channels. That’s the truth of a picture to be cherished forever.

The Central Board of Film Certification has recirculated the list of cuss words in Telugu to be banned by filmmakers. The list contains more than 30 Telugu words . More particularly words that cause disrespect to weaker sex have faced the axe.

Some of the cuss words that the censors have banned are:

nayala, mushti nayala, chillara nayala, VP, Nee Amma, Amma Nee Amma, Chetta Na Kodaka, Gadida Kodaka, Bokka, Bongu and several other more objectionable and abusive words.


Earlier, the new CBFC chief had given all regional offices a list of 15 Hindi and 13 English words.Now it was followed with these directions. What do you think about the decision? Is it right? Is it not curbing freedom of filmmakers?

Story:

Prabhu reveals to his 3 Sons (Vishal, Satish & Vaibhav) how much his Sisters (Ramya Krishnan, Aishwarya & Kiran Rathod) hate him and expresses his wish to reunite with the siblings. To accomplish this mission, He directs the trio to marry the Daughters of their Aunts (played by Hansika, Madhurima & Madhi Latha). What all the hurdles this Trio has to overcome and how did they manage to achieve the target forms the rest of the story.

Artists Performance:

Nothing much to say about Vishal, Satish and Vaibhav. While Hansika makes her presence felt by exuding glamour in songs, Madhurima and Madhavi Latha were just about okay. Prabhu and Thulasi have done justice to their roles. Ramyakrishna, Aishwarya and Kiran Rathod have done a good job. Santhanam is at his best yet again. Pradeep Rawat, Manobala and Others were adequate.

A Brief Analysis:


'Maga Maharaju' is dubbed version of Tamil flick 'Aambala' which is a rehash of several family dramas with ample no-brainy action blocks and disgusting comedy sequences.

Music by Hiphop Tamizha is loud. Cinematography by Gopi Amarnath is decent. Dialogues hardly evoke any laughter. Editing could have been better. Production Values of Vishal Film Factory are good.

Huge Star Cast is a major spoiler as Director Sundar C had to compromise on few aspects to allot screen time for all the artists. Watching 'Maga Maharaju', One gets the feeling that Santhanam should be treated as hero of the movie as he has got better introduction than Vishal and also ends up as the only actor to shine in this formulaic flick with his spontaneous oneliners.

BottomLine : Just Like the Title , Movie is Also OLD.

Bham Bholenath… in my heart... all the lead characters sing this popular Bob Marley’s line at one point in the film. So, you have drugs, theft, chase sequences and romance thrown together in Karthik Varma Dandu’s debut film. But for any small budget film, the trick is to keep the audiences interested till the very end. Now, let’s see if Karthik Varma manages to do that:

Story:

The film starts off with Krishna (Naveen Chandra), a wannabe don and his friend Praveen (Praveen) going to Seth (Posani Krishna Murali) and trying to sell off a rare African diamond that they just steal from a customer at a jewellery store. Simultaneously, a jobless software professional Vivek (Navadeep) and his friend try to break open the ATM to take Rs 2 lakhs so that Vivek can bribe his way to get a secure job.

As there is an IT Raid, Seth gives the money to Krishna and asks to get lost. Meanwhile, even as Vivek approaches the ATM, a bag loaded with dollar notes falls at his feet. From here on, the story become a cat and mouse chase game.

Artistes’ Performances:


Like many short films these days, the film has an ensemble cast of many small-time actors. Probably, Posani Krishna Murali might be the biggest star among the cast apart from Prudhvi. There is Navadeep, Naveen Chandra, Praveen, popular anchor Pradeep Machikonda, Kireeti, Pooja Jhaveri who plays Navadeep’s love interest Sri Lakshmi, Prachi and Shreya. Pankaj Kesari plays the music loving comic villain Vasool Raja. Since it a small budget film, all of them more or less make up do justice to their roles within the given framework.

Technical Excellence:


Camera work is by Bharani and music is by Sai Karthik. There is nothing much to write about, but they all do decent work in keeping with the scope of the film. Of course, the editing could have been crispier. It would have helped as it would have made the movie tighter. Karthik Varma makes his debut with the film and calls his film a thriller. Of course, while he makes a film that is clean, it is too simple to keep the audiences glued.

 A Brief Analysis:

The industry is seeing a surge in the number of debutant directors. At least one film of a debutant director is releasing every week as many assistant directors and new aspirants are trying their luck at the box office. Definitely such attempts are laudable. Karthik Varma is one such debutant director who tries his luck with Bhum Bholenath.

At the outset, like all films targeted at the new-age, urban audiences, it has a plot where three parallel stories come together towards the end. It has very believable characters which could have been picked off real life. And that is the core strength of Karthik Varma. The way his characters behave is very true given their situation and circumstances in life. His recreation of Rocky (Pradeep) and Rahul’s (Kireeti) den clearly shows that he did do his bit of homework. But that is where the good news ends. While any newcomer must be appreciated for taking the risk, Bhum Bholenath is a rather amateurish attempt at film-making.

Playback Singer Karthik, the voice behind some of the chartbuster songs like 'Are Re', 'Oh My Friend' (Happy Days) and 'Behka' (Ghajini), crooned for period drama 'Baahubali'.


Soon after lending his voice for the much-awaited flick, Karthik who was really excited to be part of the project said:
"Tracked a beautiful song for Keeravani Garu for the film Baahubali ! And I already know it’s gonna look great on screen !".

Shooting of Talkie Part has been wrapped up a month ago. VFX Work and Re-recording of 'Baahubali' is going on at a fast phase. Except for 2 Songs, Entire shoot of the movie has been completed.

While one of the songs featuring Prabhas and Tamanna is currently being shot in Ramoji Film City, The Last Song will be completed by March 15th. 'Baahubali' Par 1 releases on May 22nd as a Summer special.
