Cricket God Sachin Tendulkar congratulated Badminton Champ Sania Nehwal on becoming the first Indian woman shuttler to attain the World No.1 position.


Sachin hails Saina in this way:

Congratulations to Saina Nehwal on becoming the first Indian woman to be the World Number 1. Well done and keep smashing them on! A true role model for aspiring sports persons in the country".

Even Indian team vice captain Virat Kohli who just returned to the country after the World Cup tour heaped prises on the Hyderabadi Sensation.

 "Congratulations Saina Nehwal for becoming the first Indian woman shuttler to become World No.1! You have made us proud!," he said.

Sania Nehwal reached the final of ongoing India Open Super Series and likely to bag yet another title. Keep on winning Rockstar!

This is perhaps something which don't happen very often! Yes, Sachin Tendulkar walked back to the ITC Kakatiya Hotel after having lunch at a restaurant in Begumpet on Wednesday just to avoid traffic. The other option to reach IT Kakatiya is covering a long distance through heavy traffic and hence Master preferred the short cut.

Cops & Security Personnel were happy because the motorists didn't not realise it was none other than God Of Cricket. Sachin was accompanied by Cricketer Pragyan Ojha.

Rohit Sharma and Shikhar Dhawan today broke Sachin Tendulkar and Ajay Jadeja's World Cup record during their Pool B match against Ireland.
 

Rohit and Shikhar added 174 runs for the first wicket as India were chasing 260 for a win against Ireland. This partnership is a new opening wicket record for India in World Cup history, surpassing Tendulkar-Jadeja's mark of 163 in 1996 against Kenya. In that game, Tendulkar hit a ton and Jadeja made 53.

Rohit scored 64 and on way to his half century the right-hander completed 4,000 runs in ODIs (132nd match). This was the opener's 25th ODI fifty. Shikhar went on to score a hundred, his second in World Cup 2015. 
 
 The right and left handed combination of Rohit-Shikhar scored in quick time to pile up 174 runs in 23.2 overs. They put India on road to victory at Seddon Park. Also, Rohit-Shikhar's 174-run partnership is the highest at ICC World Cup 2015 so far, surpassing Moeen Ali-Ian Bell's 172 against Scotland.

A Sydney Restaurant announced the offer of an exclusive dinner with Sachin Tendulkar on February 26th. The dinner was priced at 1,500 to 3,000 Australian Dollars. Only around 60 lucky people will be allowed to attend the dinner. Choice of Starters, Main Course, Desserts, Preminum Wines and Spirits will be served.

The Invite of the event says,

Adelaide: Sudhir Kumar, the famous Indian cricket fan, has arrived in Australia for the ICC World Cup 2015. Normally, he is seen in matches in the subcontinent, but he has made it here thanks to a few sponsors and Sachin Tendulkar. The former Indian batsman wrote a letter to the Australian embassy in Delhi to grant him the visa. He also called them and Sudhir’s visa was done in one day.
 

In his letter to the embassy, Tendulkar said that Sudhir has been a great supporter of Indian cricket. Usually, a tourist visa takes up to a month for processing at the Australian embassy in Delhi. Tendulkar wrote,
“I am writing to confirm that Mr. Sudhir Kumar Chaudhary has been an ardent supporter of the Indian Cricket Team and has become a national icon due to his enthusiasm.”
Tendulkar further requested the embassy to help him get the visa as Sudhir wanted to get here before the India-Pakistan match. As a result, he got it in a day.


Sudhir came to the Adelaide Oval as India began practicing. He said, “Boss ne madad Kari. (Hindi for: The boss helped me).” He actually painted himself with the colours of the Indian flag before leaving the country. Thus, he arrived in Australia fully painted. When asked whether he had any troubles at the airport, he said, “Kuch nahi. Jab main topi nikaalta tha, toh won dekhte the.” (Hindi for: nothing. Whenever I took off my cap, they would keep watching). Sudhir has cut his hair in the shape of the Indian map and has it painted in the tri-colour.


Sudhir entered the ground and announced his arrival by playing the conch. Some members of the India support staff came to greet him as well. Soon, the Indian fans swarmed around him and were chanting, “Sachin, Sachin!” Some of the Pakistan fans joined in, but they chanted, “Pakistan Zindabad.” The atmosphere has been gradually building in Adelaide with many India and Pakistan fans arriving in the city. As India started practice on Saturday, the fans came in small batches to welcome the team and add to the atmosphere

Its known that batting legend Sachin left all his fans in distress by retiring from all formats of cricket. But do you know Sachin thought of retiring from the cricket in 2007 after india faced defeat in then worldcup matches.
 
 
Tendulkar speaking in an interview revealed he was so heartbroken by India's first round exit in 2007 World Cup and had thought of retiring from cricket.

But it was his brother Ajith who told him to continue playing to achieve his dream of winning the World Cup.
 
 
I still remember nightmare of 2007 world cup.I was so depressed and so upset with the way we had performed. I actually thought of retiring then.I called my brother and explained about my plans but he asked me to continue till 2011 to achieve my dream.
Tendulkar said.
Sachin faced severe criticism during 2007 world cup. He scored a duck in the crucial matches against Bangladesh and Sri Lanka.
