There was all-round disappointment in Telugu states as the Railway budget failed to hold any promise for the people. There is no mention of new railway zones or railway lines promised for the both the Telugu states .Union Railway Minister Suresh Prabhu has not mentioned about the railway zones mentioned in the AP Reorganisation Act and all they remained empty promises.
People across Telangana were let down after they realized that the budget had brought no cheers to them. The hopes of people of Warangal, who have been waiting for a coach factory and more trains to Hyderabad and others places, were dashed at there was no mention in the budget.
Coming to AP There were no Railway zones allotted for Visakha and Tirupati. Railway minister has not considered the requests of the MPs from AP. There is mention about the promises of connecting Andhra Pradesh ports with Railway to improve cargo and freight services.
The only request that has been addressed is third railway line that will be set up between Kazipet and Vijayawada. Given the union government's treatment to telugu states on railway Bduget , people have already left their hopes on the Union Budget
