ICC WorldCup 2015 : Chris Gayle Fastest Double Century in WorldCup2015

West Indies opener Chris Gayle finally after a string of failures made his bat talk. The 35-year-old Chris Gayle smashed a blistering double century in 138 deliveries.West Indies opener Chris Gayle became the first cricketer to score a double century in World Cup history. He achieved this feat in Today's league match against Zimbabwe.


Gayle is also the first non-Indian batsman to score a double ton in ODIs. Sachin Tendulkar, Virender Sehwag and Rohit Sharma were the only cricketers who were in this elite club till date.

Chris Gayle scored Double Century in 138 balls surpassing Sehwag's record of fastest 200. He perished at a score of 215 (16 sixes and 10 fours) in 147 balls. 

West Indies put a total of 372/2 by the end of 50 Years batting first.He finished his hundred in 105 deliveries including five boundaries and equal number of sixes in match 15 of ICC Cricket World Cup 2015. 

Gayle shared a brilliant partnership with Marlon Samuels to revive West Indies after they lost a quick wicket in the first over.
