Anushka Sharma will be performing at the opening ceremony of 8th Season of Indian Premiere League (IPL) at the Salt Lake Stadium on Tuesday. She was spotted rehearsals with dancers for offering a  spectacular dance performance in front of thousands of cricket fans. The 'NH10' Actress will be dancing for her chartbuster tracks at the event.


Bollywood stars Hrithik Roshan and Shahid Kapoor will also be performing at the opening ceremony. Filmmaker-turned-Actor Farhan Akhtar gonna perform with his music band. Saif Ali Khan would play the role of the host at the grand gala event.

IPL 8 takes off on April 8th. Defending Champions Kolkata Knight Riders will play Mumbai Indians in the opening match.

A 9-year-old girl turned as sudden celebrity in USA after she received a reply from president Obama for her letter. The girl wrote letter to Obama last year.In her letter to Obama, Sofia questioned why US currency didn't feature women at all


‘’Why don’t women have coins or dollar bills with their faces on it? I think there should be more woman on a dollar/coin for the United States because if there were no woman there wouldn't be men,"

 she wrote. She added that there are many women that deserve to be featured on U.S. currency because of the "important things" they've done.

Sofia's letter written last year did not receive any response for a long time from the White House. Now after a long time she heard back from the president regarding her request

Last month, Sofia finally got a personalized letter back from the President, along with an invitation to attend this year’s White House Easter Egg Roll. The President lauded Sofia for her letter and her thoughts. He encouraged her to study further and make a difference to the lives of people through her work and actions.

MIM Chief Asaduddin Owaisi came down heavily on Bollywood superstar Salman Khan while addressing a public meeting in Maharashtra during his campaign for Bandra East by-election.



Without mentioning the name of Salman Khan, Owaisi said:

 "He was driving under the influence of alcohol and rammed his car on to the footpath where poor people were sleeping. Now, He says it wasn't him who was driving. How many more poor people have to die?".

Of course, The Hyderabad MP lashed out at Salman Khan in the past as well. Raising objection to Salman Khan flying kytes with BJP  Prime Ministerial candidate Narendra Modi before the general elections, Owaisi described Salman as a 'nachne gaane waala' and compared him with Salman Rushdie who is the author of the controversial book Satanic Verses.
